What BollyAI Thinks
Series 5 is the anthology's acknowledged weak link - a three-episode run that feels like it was assembled from concepts that didn't quite fit any stronger idea. 'Striking Vipers' has an interesting virtual-reality-sexuality premise that the episode doesn't fully commit to. 'Smithereens' is a contemporary social-media hostage story that arrives without surprise or formal daring. 'Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too' - with Miley Cyrus - is the show's most tonally uncertain episode, vacillating between satire and sincere pop star narrative. At 66% RT, critics were clear this was a marked step down. The compression to three episodes may be the culprit; the show needs room to fail in order to succeed spectacularly.

The Room
“An uneven and underwhelming entry in the anthology - still watchable, but missing the crystalline precision that defines Black Mirror at its best.”
Rotten Tomatoes (critics consensus)
Season Over Season
A significant dip from Series 4; the weakest Netflix season by critical and audience consensus.
